Historic Viking Village is a Barnegat Light favorite. This attraction will take you back to a time period where Vikings roamed the land. Set up as a historic fishing village, the area has a variety of shops and restaurants.

Barnegat Lighthouse State Park
The Barnegat Lighthouse State Park is included as a maritime site on the New Jersey Coastal Heritage Trail. At the park, you will be able to view the Barnegat Lighthouse, located on the northern tip of Long Beach Island, in Ocean County, NJ.

This lighthouse was regarded as one of the most crucial "change of course" points for coastal vessels. Vessels bound to and from New York along the New Jersey coastline depended on Barnegat Lighthouse to avoid the shoals extending from the shoreline.
