ABOUT CAPTAIN GEORGE
A New Jersey native, Captain George grew up spending his summers on Long Beach Island. By age 10, he had caught the nautical bug and built his first boat.
In 1976, Captain George moved to Barnegat Light full-time and the ocean became his office and boating his occupation.
Although he is a seasoned traveler, Captain George prefers to remain on Long Beach Island and ran a marine charter business out of Barnegat Light for over 30 years.
Captain George is always happy to engage you in conversation and he will gladly field all questions on things like local history, wildlife, and geography. If there is one thing that is evident, it is that George truly loves his job!
